A 32-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in connection with the man found dead in a car boot at Montecasino in Fourways, Johannesburg.

"He is the second suspect following the arrest of Maruschka Robinson, 24, who appeared at the Randburg Magistrate's Court yesterday. She was remanded in custody until October 2," police spokesman Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said.

The two were arrested after Dustan Blom's decomposing body was found in the boot of his own car at Montecasino on Sunday around 1pm after security guards noticed a bad smell coming from it.

"A motive for his murder is still being investigated," he said.

"The second suspect will be charged with murder and he is expected to appear in court within 48 hours pending further investigation."

The Star newspaper reported on Thursday 36-year-old Blom's wife Talita died earlier this year after giving birth to their twins. The twins were in the care of Talita's family.
