Pirates vs Al Ahly game rescheduled

Sunday's African Champions League game between Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly in Egypt will now take place at 4.30pm SA time.

It was initially scheduled to start at 10pm.

Pirates executive administrator Floyd "Jomo" Mbele explained: "The problem is that the game will take place in the city of Hurghada where there are no flood lights, the match will be played behind closed doors."

Pirates, who played to a goalless draw with AC Leopards from Congo Brazzaville in their opening group stages match in Soweto two weeks ago, leave for Egypt at 10pm tonight.

Al Ahly are also sitting on one point after playing to a 1-1 draw with compatriots Zamalek in their opening match last Wednesday.
