Men arrested with copper cable

They were caught driving up the wrong side of the Marlboro on-ramp to the N3 highway

Two men arrested for possession of 94kg of copper cable will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, metro police said.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the two were stopped by police on Monday after they were caught driving up the wrong side of the Marlboro on-ramp to the N3 highway.

They were arrested after police discovered the copper cable in the car.

“They could not explain how they had come to possess the copper,” Minnaar said.
