THE ANC has less than a week to file their response to the appeal launched by youth league president Julius Malema.
Malema's lawyer Patrick Mtshaulana said he was not at liberty to discuss the contents of his client's submissions, saying the ANC needed to first study those papers and he would thereafter formulate a response based on the ruling party's submissions.
However, it is understood that the gist of Malema's key complaint was that the ANC disciplinary committee did not give the youth leaders a chance to present evidence in mitigation of their sentences.
