Men thrown from moving train

One fighting for his life

Two men were injured, one critically, when they were thrown from a passenger coach train between Mayfair Station and Florida Station in Johannesburg late last night.

Netcare says a group of men prised open the doors of the moving train and threw two men out onto the tracks.

Paramedics arrived at the scene to find one man in a critical condition, having sustained severe head trauma.

"He was intubated and placed on a manual ventilator at the scene before he was transported, along with his seriously injured friend, to the Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital for further urgent care," Netcare said in a statement.
