A MAN and woman were shot dead in Kwazibusele outside Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal police said
"On arrival at the scene on Wednesday, police found the bodies of an adult male and an adult female lying on the ground outside a homestead," Warrant Officer Joey Jeevan said.
They were identified as Bongumusa Wilson Chiyi, 51, and Zandile Sibisi, 46. Both had been shot in the head.
"Investigations at the scene established that on the previous night, on Tuesday, Chiyi and his girlfriend Sibisi were leaving his kitchen to go to his room in another homestead."
Their killers confronted them, shot them, and ran away. Several spent 9mm cartridges were found on the scene the next morning.
The motive for the killing was still unknown.
