R3m coke, wunga haul

AN ALLEGED drug dealer in KwaMakhutha, south of Durban, was arrested after allegedly being found with narcotics worth R3million, KwaZulu-Natal police said yesterday.

"It is alleged that the 34-year-old man was the main dealer in the area. He is due to appear in the Mbumbulo magistrate's court tomorrow," Captain Thulani Zwane said.

The man was arrested on Tuesday. He was allegedly found with several kilograms of cocaine and wunga. Wunga is a lethal mixture of anti-retroviral drugs, rat poison, detergent and dagga.

Zwane said the sting operation was conducted by KwaZulu-Natal crime intelligence and a tactical response team after a tip-off.
