Crash boy sits exams

THE 16-year-old Northview High School pupil who allegedly rammed into pedestrians on October 22 will continue with his exams.

The boy, who cannot be named because he is a minor, stole his parents car and was driving drunk in Alexandra when he hit eight people.

Two were killed in the accident including Mpho Nyembe, 17, and a second person died of injuries almost a week later.

Defence and social workers in the Randburg magistrate's court, on October 28, amended the charge from culpable homicide to murder.

The boy appeared in court again yesterday. The case was postponed to December 8.
