Today marks the second anniversary of the death of Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere.

His former boss Basetsana Kumalo is still shocked and saddened by his passing.

"Simba's legacy will continue to be in our lives. I see his family at church every Sunday, so I'm still close with them," Kumalo said.

In celebration of Mhere's life, Top Billing will continue to show pieces of his work on the glamorous SABC3 lifestyle magazine show.

"We've run inserts for the past two years highlighting Simba's work and we will continue to do so this year. Yes, this may not bring back him back to life, but it's an important way we keep his legacy alive."

Mhere died with his friend Kady-Shay O'Bryan in a car accident on January 31 on their way to the then J&B Met in Cape Town.

"It still feels like a bad dream. At moments of reflection I always think what would Simba be doing now?

"I believe that Simba had so much potential and he would grow so much in his career. So I am deeply saddened when I think of his day," shared Kumalo.

Kumalo has partnered with JAM in donating proceeds from the Mhere's memorial to Pop Scotch day care in Diepsloot
