A factory in Kya Sands near Randburg caught fire on Monday morning, said Johannesburg Emergency Management Services.
Spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said firefighters were called to the scene at around 4am by security officials.
"We are still trying to put out the fire... We don't know what started it," he said.
