ANOTHER LOSS: Jermaine Moshoeu died in car crash.

Another dark cloud has befallen the family of the late Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder John "Shoes" Moshoeu.

Moshoeu's son, Jermaine, died on Friday morning when a car he was travelling in was involved in a horrific crash at Nasrec, outside Soweto.

Jermaine (29), who cheated death once when he was shocked during a welding class while at school in 2004, his unidentified cousin and three of his friends were burnt beyond recognition after he lost control of his VW Polo GTi and crashed.

Family spokeswoman Bessie Moche confirmed Jermaine's death.

Moche said Jermaine lost control of his car on Nasrec Road when he and his friends were driving from Diepkloof, Soweto, at around 1am.

She said the car veered off the road and overturned several times, killing him and his four friends instantly.

"We still don't know where they were coming from and where they were going when the accident occurred. But what we know is that it happened between Diepkloof and Nasrec Road, next to the Sasol garage. They all died at the scene," she said.

Moche said the family did not only lose a son but a caring father and a humble man.

"He was a father of four children and loved his kids to bits," she said.

Jermaine's death comes hardly three months after the death of his father, who succumbed to stomach cancer in April.

Funeral arrangements were not finalised at the time of going to press.
