Is it payback time for Scopa chair Godi?

In the report, "Arms deal haunts Mbeki" (Sowetan, February 14), Scopa chairman Themba Godi asked why Scopa should reopen the arms deal probe because the joint investigating team had already done the job.

If he read Andrew Feinstein's book, After the Party, he would understand why a fresh probe is absolutely necessary. If he read it then he is as duplicitous and disingenuous as he was last year when he led PAC representatives to cross the floor to form a contraption called the APC.

Could Godi be repaying his bosses for electing him, by obfuscating the arms-deal imbroglio?
