Scout pastor at summit
Springs-born young pastor Tebogo Rakgabyane represented the SADC Region of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement at the EuroAfrica Youth Summit in Lisbon, Portugal.
The summit ran from last Tuesday to Friday alongside the Euro-Africa Heads-of-States Summit.
Rakgabyane holds many accolades in the Christian community, including the Scout Movement.
He is the senior pastor and founder of the Faith Christian Church International (FCCI) in Dunnottar, Nigel, and president of the Centre for Five-Fold Ministry (CFFM).
Four months ago he represented the World Organisation of the Scout Movement in the SADC region at the Euro-Africa Youth Gathering in Ekurhuleni.
"I believe scouting is the movement for the 21st century that can help with the moral regeneration of our young people and the development of leadership and character," Rakgabyane says.
" Gone are the days when the youth was associated with corruption and wrongdoing.
"Scouting is a solution to the social ills and moral decay in our youth and schools.
"I would like to encourage parents, communities and schools to allow their children to join the Scout Movement."
