I'm going nowhere, says Mnyamane

University of Pretoria's most-prized asset, Thabo Mnyamane, has ruled out a move away from the club this month, saying he is more concerned about saving the club from relegation.

Mnyamane, who still has a season and half on his contract with Tuks, has been a target of Orlando Pirates.

But the midfielder-cum-striker is not interested in making a move, news that should please Tuks management.

"They said the world would end in 2012, so rumours will always be rumours. I will be here until the end of the season and I want to help my club (avoid relegation)," the 23-year-old said after Tuks' 1-0 win over Jomo Cosmos at Tuks Stadium on Saturday, thanks to a Willem Mwedihanga goal.

Tuks' solitary goal against Ezenkosi was only their sixth of the campaign in 12 matches, a record that should have their strikers hanging their heads in shame.

They've failed to score in eight matches, while four of the six goals they have scored have come from defenders.

Mnyamane and Lennox Bacela are the only two attacking players to have found the back of the net, while the likes of Thabiso Nkoana and Getaneh Kebede have just failed to settle in since joining at the start of the season.

Tuks must be wishing Mnyamane can rediscover the form of last season, when he bagged seven league goals playing as a number 10 or on the wing, to inspire a turnaround.

"To be frank we are struggling to score, but we just need to work harder and it will come. Anybody can score, as you saw today (against Cosmos) a defender scored. We are working on it as strikers, but we are still happy if a defender scores."

The victory against Cosmos, only the second this season for Tuks, was vital ahead of the big matches against Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns this week.

"The (Christmas) break did us good because we came into this game with a lot of confidence. It was vital to get three points against Cosmos. Now we want to build on from the win and hopefully we can be consistent. It will be a tough game against Pirates, but hopefully we can get another three points."
