Another week, another raft of changes to the Cheetahs team beset by injury. Only eight players who started in last week's defeat at Ellis Park to the Lions will start in the same position against the Stormers on Saturday.

Loosehead Danie Mienie, flyhalf Willie du Plessis, centre Johann Sadie and wing Cornal Hendricks will all vacate their positions. They may be pressed into an additional change as tighthead Coenie Oosthuizen is still doubtful, with Maks van Dyk standing by.

The changes have also necessitated positional switches with Joe Pietersen moving from fullback back to flyhalf, Ryno Benjamin shifts to the right wing to accommodate Sergeal Petersen, while Francois Venter shifts from inside to outside centre to make room for Michael van der Spuy,

Sadie has sustained a knee injury, Mienie has concussion, while Hendricks has to be rested, which means that Petersen will get his first opportunity to play Super Rugby for the Cheetahs. Petersen has had to spend lengthy periods away from the game through injury.
