BOXING South Africa (BSA) chairperson Ntambi Ravele has moved swiftly to dispel growing criticism that the national indaba held in September last year was nothing but a talk shop.

None of the resolutions taken at the indaba in Pretoria have been implemented and licensees - promoters, managers, boxers and trainers - accused BSA of gross incompetence.

Some licensees went as far as demanding the dismissal of the board.

But Ravele said their hands were tied.

"Technically there was no board because the existing three members did not form a quorum," she said yesterday.

BSA returned to some semblance of normality after a new board was appointed in May, with Ravele retained. She said they were now ready to resume work and attend to all the resolutions.
