ALMOST 20 years after conquering Africa, most of Orlando Pirates' 1995 team will reunite to face Manchester United football legends in an exhibition match at Ellis Park on Saturday (6pm).

One of the Pirates legends who is excited about meeting the Manchester legends is William Okpara, who joked that he could even return to professional football after the exhibition match, which is organised by Football Champions Tours (FCT).

Okpara retired nine years ago, but he believes he'll be able to thwart the visitors who have brought the likes of Paul Scholes, Lee Sharpe and lethal striker Dwight Yorke.

Okpara wants to help Pirates win the game to honour the Bucs' late captain, Senzo Meyiwa.

"I will be in goal on Saturday and maybe after the game I will be registered to play in the PSL. I am ready," he said.

"I'm looking forward to playing against the Manchester legends and reuniting with the legends of Pirates.

"We are playing this game in honour of Senzo. We want to see all the Buccaneers at the stadium on Saturday."

Marc Bachelor, who is also part of the Pirates team coached by Augusto Palacios, is pleased that he will finally get to rub shoulders with players he admired during his playing days.

"This is a big game against some of the football legends. I used to watch these guys play and it will be great to play against them. We have been training every day for this game," he said.

Sharpe, meanwhile, is looking forward to an entertaining game. Sharpe was part of Sir Alex Ferguson's first league-winning team in the 1992-1993 season.

"We are ready for the game. What's nice is that fans can get to watch the Bafana Bafana game on the big screen and then after that they can get to watch a real game between the legends," he joked.
