Maluti pick up second NFD triumph

MALUTI FET College registered their second National First Division win when they defeated Blackburn Rovers 3-2 at Mthatha Stadium on Sunday.

Coach Morena Ramoreboli is confident that his charges have finally settled after losing their opening two league matches.

The Free State side moved to fifth spot on the log with seven points from five matches.

"There is light at the end of the tunnel, the boys have finally settled down in the NFD. Our aim is to challenge for promotion in our first season in the NFD," said Ramoreboli.

"Free State is a big province, we need yet another club in the Absa Premiership after Free State Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic. We also have talent in abundance"

Meanwhile, Milano United are still top of the log despite their game against Baroka FC being postponed after six Baroka players were injured in a car accident last weekend.

The Cape Town-based United are the only club still with a 100% record in the league.

African Warriors remain second following a 2-0 win over FC Cape Town at Charles Mopeli Stadium on Saturday.

In KwaZulu-Natal, Chippa United retained the third spot after a 1-1 draw with Thanda Royal Zulu.

Elsewhere, Roses United are still chasing their first win of the league following a 1-1 draw with Jomo Cosmos.
