ORLANDO Pirates have invited two Zimbabwean players for assessment before the league resumes.

Striker Ronny Chipiyo and defender Byron Madzokere are in South Africa and hope to impress coach Roger de Sa and assistants Tebogo Moloi and Eric Tinkler.

The two are expected to play in a friendly match at Rand Stadium tomorrow against opponents likely to be named today.

Tomorrow's game will also be used to assess former Majimbos skipper Nhlakanipho Ntuli, who is on the wanted list of former Dutch champions FC Twente, and Tshepo Diphoko.

De Sa and his staff have been looking for players they believe will add value to Pirates, who are hoping to win their second African Champions League.

The Buccaneers start their campaign with the first of two legs at home against Djabala from Comoros, probably in Johannesburg, on February 16 or 17. If Pirates win they are likely to meet Zambia's Zanaco.

"We have to do well in the two games in order to meet TP Mazembe from DR Congo in the second round proper," said Bucs winger Tlou Segolela.
