PRIOR to the start of last night's Tshwane derby, Mamelodi Sundowns supporters played a song asking their late star Gift Leremi to help them end their losing streak.

Literally translated, the IsiZulu song says Leremi - who died in a car accident in 2007 - should come back as the team is going through a bad patch. But Sundowns' woes continued as they played to a goalless draw with neighbours SuperSport United.

Sundowns coach Johan Neeskens is still skating on thin ice after having collected only four points from five opening league matches.

l An unbelievable last-minute goal by AmaZulu winger Thokozani Mshengu gave the vastly improved Usuthu a shock 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, reports Sbu Mjikeliso.

The winner, a curling stunner, came 15 minutes after Ayanda Dlamini toe-poked an equaliser from a Marc van Heerden free-kick that Swallows goalkeeper Greg Etafia had spilt.

AmaZulu had the best chances in the game and did well to cage Swallows midfielders, preventing them from surging forward in search of the deadly Siyabonga Nomvethe.

Swallows looked like they used everything they had in the cup final win against SuperSport United at the weekend, and there was nothing left in the tank. They failed to protect the one goal lead David Mathebula had given them after half an hour.

l New boys Chippa United have their first Premiership win after two sucker punches accounted for Bloemfontein Celtic at the Athlone Stadium, writes Mark Gleeson.

But they had to hang on for the final 15 minutes to register a 2-1 triumph and move themselves clear into mid-table respectability.

Petrus Mahlatsi (nee Ngebo) reminded his old club of his ability with the opening goal in the 22nd minute. Diego Brown cut in from the left to score at the end of a fine solo run to make it 2-0 nine minutes into the second half as Chippa soaked up continual pressure and used the counter attack to good effect.

Celtic missed several sitters before a generous penalty allowed Lennox Bacela to pull one back in the 75th minute.

lSapa reports that Golden Arrows drew with Free State Stars at Charles Mopeli Stadium in Phuthaditjhaba.

New recruit Norman Smith struck for the visitors in the 31st minute to put them ahead. Dove Wome equalised for Stars late in the second half.
