THOMAS "Tommy Gun" Oosthuizen must blow away American Rowland Bryant on August 2 in order to challenge IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch, Brian Mitchell said.
Mitchell, who helps trainer Harold Volbrecht tune Oosthuizen's skills, said yesterday that Froch was keen to defend against Oosthuizen in England in November.
Oosthuizen is in the US to make the third defence of his IBO title. His fight against Bryant will take place at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. "Bryant (who has lost only one fight in 17) is not a world beater but he is a credible opponent," said Mitchell.
