ORLANDO Pirates paraded their football league trophy through the streets of Johannesburg and Soweto.
The Buccaneers won the Absa Premiership for the second season in a row on Saturday, beating Golden Arrows 4-2 at a packed Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban.
Yesterday's parade started at 8am at the club’s headquarters in Parktown where the players and coaching staff hopped onto a double-decker bus.
The first stop was at Johannesburg municipality offices for a meeting with mayor Parks Tau and his executive.
Pirates, who have also won the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout this season, then stopped off at the Gauteng department of sport where they presented the trophies to MEC Lebogang Maile at 10am.
The parade moved down Victoria, St Andrews, De Korte, Simmonds, Rissik, Commissioner, Market, Eloff and Pat Mbatha streets before heading for Soweto.
In Soweto, Bucs went to Maponya and Jabulani malls, passed by the iconic Morris Isaacson High School, as well as Mooki Street and Moroka police station.
The parade later returned to the city centre, visiting the Bree and Noord street taxi ranks.
