KHAMA Billiat's return to the Ajax Cape Town line-up after suspension will be a major boost to their hopes of clinching a top-eight place.

Coach Maarten Stekelenburg said they must take six points from their remaining three league games, and they are keen to start that bid against Kaizer Chiefs in Polokwane tomorrow night.

The two clubs meet in a catch-up fixture.

"We have missed Billiat in our past two games, particularly his pace upfront. I'm happy he's back from suspension," said Stekelenburg.

Billiat had been red-carded in the first half of the game against SuperSport United last month for a needless reaction to a tackle. The club fined him R2,500 for the frivolous nature of the sending off.

Stekelenburg said Chiefs' confidence will have improved after last Wednesday's win over Mamelodi Sundowns, but should Ajax catch them out with an early goal, that would quickly evaporate. "It is very important how we start this game.

"Their confidence is a little thin, I think."

The rookie coach said he was disappointed that the ninth-placed Cape Town side were battling to secure a top- eight place after finishing runners-up last season.
