Basetsana hyped for second leg

THE South African women's Under-20 soccer side have promised neighbours Botswana yet another big hiding in their 2012 World Cup qualifier in Daveyton on Saturday.

Basetsana go into this game at Sinaba Stadium with a comfortable 4-1 win in the bag from the first leg at Molepolole Stadium last weekend.

Coach Sheryl Botes said: "It's a brand new game, Botswana must expect yet another heavy defeat. Our appetite for scoring goals is unbelievable. We want to see ourselves going to the finals in Japan in August."

Safa women's committee convenor Nomsa Mahlangu said: "We urge the people of Ekurhuleni and rest of South Africa to support Basetsana."

Saturday's winner will face either Ghana or Namibia in the next round of qualifiers next month. The finals will be played in Japan from August 19 to September 8.

Meanwhile, Amajita will meet Botswana at the same venue on Sunday.
