CHOREOGRAPHER and actress Khabonina Qubeka has joined dance reality television show Step Up or Step Out as a judge.

The sexy Qubeka joins Arthur Mafokate, Penelope Thloloe and Emile Jansen in the second season of the e.tv show.

The famous actress said Step Up or Step Out was a great platform, especially for dance groups that came from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Step Up or Step Out , which started last year on e.tv, offers 10 of South Africa's hottest dance crews the chance to show off their hottest dance moves.

The winners will walk away with a R100000 cash prize.

Qubeka said: "I was approached by the producers of the show. I am honoured to be part of such a fresh and vibey show. This is the show that will allow dance groups to grow. What I love about it is that I will work with people who speak dance language."

She said the show gave dancers from disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to showcase their talent in front of millions of people.

"The only thing they have to do is showcase their creativity and energy. It is the kind of show that takes one from zero to hero."

Qubeka added that as a judge, she would be looking for a dance crew with extra-ordinary skills.

"Dancers know they are judged by musicality, originality and how you use your space. I want a group that has that "It" factor."

Auditions for Step Up or Step Out will start this Friday at Beatrocker's Academy at the Penitentiary on Rivonia Boulevard/9th Ave, Rivonia.
