SOUTH Africa's mining industry will next week know the full details of ANC Youth League president Julius Malema's proposal for the nationalisation of the sector.
The league's national executive committee meets in Krugersdorp from today until Sunday to adopt the final document which will outline the model espoused by the league.
A draft document indicating that the league wants President Jacob Zuma's government to grab mines by any means possible, including expropriation, has been in circulation.
Previously, ANCYL spokes-person Floyd Shivambu told Sowetan that they wanted the state to own a majority stake in the R2 trillion sector without paying for it. - Zukile Majova
