We're poor because we depend on the govt

THERE is a saying in my mother tongue that goes: "Vusiwana byi chava mavoko." Loosely translated it means: The only way to beat poverty is to work hard.

Too many poor people have given up on themselves because poverty has been following them around for too long. Giving up is no solution . The reason for mass poverty in our country is that people rely on the government to better their lives instead of fighting poverty ourselves. We were all born with a unique gift, to be used as a weapon to defeat poverty. Many of us have yet to discover that gift because we are lazy.

We wait for a helping hand. We are not vulnerable, just lazy to think. Don't wait for jobs to be created. We have brains to think.
