Julius Malema celebrates EFF win in his hometown ward

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has won a number of wards in in Seshego‚ the hometown of commander-in-chief Julius Malema.

The red berets’ leader took to social media on Friday morning‚ as official local government elections vote counting was nearing a conclusion‚ to share the news.

“The EFF won my ward 13 in Seshego Zone 1. I’m humbled by the support. Thank you ext‚ Masakaneng ‚Moruleng‚ Hospital View & di 12‚13‚14‚15‚16‚” Malema tweeted.

More than 93% of votes had been counted in Limpopo on Friday morning‚ putting the African National Congress leading with 68% while the EFF were second at 16%.

Analysts are predicting that the EFF will be the new opposition in Limpopo.
