Tripartite alliance partners - Cosatu, the ANC and the SACP - received nearly R62 million from the trade union Numsa, the Sunday Independent reported.
"We have done a calculation of Numsa's financial support for the MDM (mass democratic movement) structures, SACP and ANC since 2003 to 2013 and it is a gigantic R61,970,500," said National Union of Metalworkers of SA general secretary Karl Cloete.
The newspaper reported that the Congress of SA Trade Unions had received R54 million in the stipulated time period.
The African National Congress had received R4 million and the SA Communist Party received more than R1.8 million.
R1.7 million was also given to Cosatu's political fund.
Last year, Numsa, which is Cosatu's largest affiliate, resolved at its special congress not to support the ANC in the May 7 2014 general elections.
