'What more must he (Oscar) do?' for bail: Roux

Oscar Pistorius has proved "beyond exceptional circumstances" why he should be released on bail, his counsel said in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

"What more must he do? Is there a rule that he must be cross-examined?" asked advocate Barry Roux.

Pistorius is charged with the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home, which he has denied.

Roux asked magistrate Desmond Nair to review his ruling that the murder charge against Pistorius fell under schedule six of the Criminal Procedure Act, and change it to schedule five.

He said the defence had handed in four affidavits testifying that Pistorius and Steenkamp had a "loving relationship".
