THE Pretoria High Court heard that Zanele Khumalo's bisexual friend fabricated evidence because she was jealous of Khumalo's relationship with her boyfriend.
This was revealed during cross-examination by defence lawyer Anneke van Wyk in the trial of Thato Kutumela, 26, who is accused of raping and killing his girlfriend, Khumalo, who was five months pregnant at the time.
Khumalo was found dead in her parents' home in Garsfontein.
Van Wyk told Gaongalelwe Ganki Letoela that Kutumela believed she fabricated evidence because she was jealous of his relationship with Khumalo.
Letoela said Kutumela was the jealous one.
