HEROES and heroines from Limpopo who shaped the future of the province and changed its landscape, will be honoured for the sterling job they performed in their various capacities.
Dubbed the Limpopo Heroes Network, the event will recognise the various roles played by individuals, companies and organisations in bettering the lives of ordinary people in the province.
The celebration will be held at Cosmo Leisure in Polokwane on November 18.
According to event organiser Benson Motsumi they would honour individuals and organisations that had changed the lives of the province's people, be it academically, religiously, socially, politically or otherwise.
"The idea is to appreciate the individuals and organisations for the different roles they played in uplifting the lives of the people of the province. The list also includes those who are playing pivotal roles nationally," Motsumi said.
"Limpopo has produced an unmatched number of icons who deserve recognition in order for them to continue to work even harder and inspire others."
Among the categories to be recognised are company of the year, best organisation, best school, best businessman or woman, among others.
