Cops find drugs, guns, skulls

GAUTENG police discovered a mini drug laboratory with drugs and equipment valued at about R25000 and seized 10 firearms on the weekend.

And in a separate incident in Silverton, Pretoria, a 31-year-old man was arrested after the skulls of a woman and two of her children were found on a plot.

According to police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, 24 suspects were arrested for murder, robbery, dealing in drugs and possession of unlicensed firearms, and will appear in various magistrate's courts tomorrow.

Dlamini said three of the suspects, aged 20, 26 and 43. were arrested in Westonaria on Friday for dealing in drugs.

"The men were arrested after one of them was stopped during a stop-and-search operation.

"Police found a needle suspected to be used to inject drugs. On further investigation, the suspect led the police to a house where his two friends were found."

Dlamini said the bones and skulls of the victims found at the Silverton plot were discovered by a security guard.

"Police went to the scene and established that the victims were staying on a plot before they disappeared earlier this year," Dlamini said.
