Journalist Musi dies

VETERAN journalist Obed Musi has died aged 72 of natural causes.

Musi worked for several newspapers in Gauteng and Durban. He began his career at Drum magazine, then moved to the Rand Daily Mail until the paper was forced to close.

He also worked at The World - the predecessor of Sowetan. He was part of the top team that included Aggrey Klaaste, Joe Thloloe and Ike Magashule. When TheWorld was banned Musi moved to Durban, where he was a sub-editor for Ilanga lase Natal, Daily News and the Natal Mercury.
