7 things to leave behind in 2014

As we get closer to the end of the year, certain things need to be left behind as we look forward to entering a new year with new beginnings.

Here are the top seven things that was highlighted in a Twitter trend #thingstoleavebehindin2014 of what needs to be buried and dusted.

1) Fake friends: There is nothing more toxic than fake friends if all they do is suck your positive energy out of you, who use you and never leave you feeling good about yourself. You need to question the type of friendship you are in. Get rid of these friendships that don’t work - even on social media.

2) The Cassper Nyovest and AKA beef: This need to die soon. If there have ever been an amateur fight between rappers, it has to be the AKA and Cassper Nyovest beef. It’s still unclear why they are really rivals and what they're really gaining by this but people please - let this be left in 2014.

3) The #notSenzosdad pose: The pose out the window pulled by Senzo’s dad at his son’s funeral needs to be buried and forgotten. It was funny, it trended but  let us not see it in your Christmas photos or at your New Year's party. OK?

4) Crops that look like bras: There are crops that look good on ladies. We know fashion is a nice to have but there are crops that look like you are wearing just a bra. Can we have some order! If it looks like a bra, use it on the beach or cover up.

5) The word Bae: According to the urban dictionary, the word bae is a Danish word for poop. Please stop telling us you are with your bae, meaning poop.  Going around calling your partner names you don’t know like ‘Bae’ is wrong - even if for you it means 'Before All Else', just stop.

6) Chris Brown and Karreuche’s on and off relationship: They break up to make up and diss each other on the net. This relationship goes around in circles. It's going to go on like this forever, so it's kind of old already. Let's just break up with this story, we beg of you.

7) #GenerationsLegacy: They viewers have spoken out on Twitter and have listed the new Generations soapie as things that must be left behind as the year ends. Can you leave this behind? or are you waiting to see what happens in the new year with the storyline on and off air..?
