Lehoko replaces Metro FM's Eddie Zondi

METROFM has announced Sentle Lehoko as a replacement for the late Eddie Zondi.

The station yesterday confirmed that the graveyard slot DJ has landed the plum Sunday afternoon gig, popular for its smooth R&B and soul tunes.

Zondi died on June 16 and for the past four months the station resorted to a holding programming strategy which saw presenters Thami Ngubeni, Wilson B Nkosi and Paul Mtirara hold the fort.

From this Sunday, the programme Romantic Repertoire returns full steam with Lehoko as the host.

Lehoko presents The Private Line weekdays between midnight and 3am. He joined the station in 2006 and has risen through the ranks until settling on The Private Line.

He will continue to present the midnight slot.

Lehoko thanked MetroFM for their vote of confidence in his abilities.
