DANCER extraordinaire Somizi Mhlongo is being eyed for Nigerian artist D'banj's world tour.
Mhlongo choreographed this year's Channel O Music Video Awards at the weekend, where D'banj - real name Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo - won the Most Gifted video and Most Gifted Male video awards.
On November 17 Mhlongo tweeted: "Guess who'll be choreographing D'banj world tour. God is showing off in a great way," with a picture of him standing next to D'banj.
But when contacted for comment, Mhlongo said: "Nothing has been confirmed yet and I do not want to jeopardise my chances of clinching this deal."
Mhlongo confessed he might have been too forward in tweeting that he would be D'banj's official world tour choreographer.
"My excitement took over and I should not have gone to the social networks to share the possibility of my touring with D'banj. It is a world tour and it will open many more opportunities for me should I sign on the dotted line," he said.
Mhlongo added that his focus was currently on the Africa Cup of Nations 2013.
"I start working on the project on December 1 as a choreographer," he said.
Mhlongo has worked on the 2010 Fifa World Cup, Big Brother Africa and the Feather Awards 2012.
D'banj is signed to rapper and producer Kanye West's GOOD Music record label.
His world tour is set for early next year and cities to be visited are yet to be confirmed.
D'banj is believed to still be in South Africa after he flew in for the Channel O awards ceremony last week.
