Outkast's Big Boi launches sock range

The Outkast rapper revealed that he has teamed up with Crooks & Castles to release the line of clothing in Atlanta, Georgia.

He also called himself the "sock king" when announcing his new range.

He told GQ magazine: "I'm the sock king! They've got a cape on the back - that's how I flew here."

The lyricist added: "I got my own socks line coming out with Crooks & Castles. Head over to 677 Antone Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30318 and get some!"

Big Boi recently announced plans to release a new studio album in November.

He has renamed his next solo album to reflect a more indie direction.

He decided against his working title of 'Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader' for his forthcoming LP but has not yet chosen an alternative name.

Big Boi said the move was prompted because he has recently worked with Modest Mouse on their latest album and he has also been listening to tracks by Little Dragon and Lana Del Rey, which have influenced his new musical direction.
