Australia's largest snail

THE giant panda snail is found in Australia, and is in fact the continent's largest snail.

It is found in the sub-tropical rainforests on the east coast.

When it is fully grown it can be the size of a tennis ball - with its shell 9cm high and its body 15cm long!

These molluscs like to eat fungi and pose absolutely no threat to humans.
