Pregnancy and medication can cause latent diabetes

THERE are degrees to which diabetes can occur:

In some cases, it is only evident when a person takes in, for test purposes, lots of glucose, and the results show that the body battles to produce enough insulin. This is the mildest form.

Latent diabetes occurs when one is under severe stress, such as pregnancy, or is taking cortisone medication. In the case of a pregnant woman showing symptoms of diabetes, her body usually goes back to normal after birth.

Over diabetes, however, which is evident in tests, may still be relatively mild and go almost unnoticed. Thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision and weight loss are usually present. - So You Have Diabetes, Press Limited
