Earth, Wind and Fire dazzles fans

LEGENDARY American group Earth, Wind and Fire wowed its generation while performing at the Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg last night

After entertaining Cape Town fans on Friday and Saturday, the pop-soul group proceeded to Johannesburg to entertain the fans.

With the show starting on time, old toppies and tannies from all over Johannesburg dressed the part to enjoy the seasoned outfit. The group came on stage and sent the middle and matured audience into a frenzy.

With their stylish costumes, extreme hair styles, beautiful sound, Earth, Wind and Fire gave an entertaining and quality performance. Though the venue was not full, those who came enjoyed the best performance from the group. One had to be over 45 years old to really enjoy and sing along in the group's music.

The concert was opened by South African celebrated trumpeter Hugh Masekela with a magnificent performance. Bra Hugh, as he is affectionately known, kept the sparse on its feet.

Masekela gave a lively and entertaining 45-minute performance before making way for the group to perform.

The popular group, whose music has blown audiences across the US and the world, is currently touring the world as part of its 40th anniversary.

The group has disbanded many times and taken breaks in between. Their soulful music has been responsible for decades of romance and marriages, not to mention the thousands of babies conceived during those sessions.

Though group members are now old, they still offered the best performance during the show.
