KENYA'S flower export earnings fell 15 percent in 2010 from $445million (about R3,1 billion) a year before

Flower exports make up more than half the country's horticulture export earnings.

"2010 was a hard-hitting year for the flower industry owing to the unprecedented difficulties," Erastus Mureithi, chairperson of the Kenya Flower Council, said.
