ROME - Italian coast guards have spotted 15 bodies at sea after a boat laden with nearly 200 refugees capsized in heavy seas, an official told AFP, saying that 48 people had been rescued.
The rescue operation is continuing, coast guard official Vittorio Alessandro from the island of Lampedusa, which has seen thousands of migrants arrive from Libya and Tunisia in recent weeks, said.
