- Lebogang Tema (24) Media Practices Graduate from Boston Media House and currently works as a Market Analyst. Passionate about equality and wants to raise awareness about social issues, particularly gender inequality and discrimination. Interests: Reading, travelling and meeting new people.

The annual Miss Soweto 2018 finals will be held on the 1st of December 2018.

The highly anticipated final gala event will be the highlight before the end of a yearlong reign for Miss Soweto 2017 Busisiwe Mmtola.

The highly anticipated final gala event is scheduled to commence at 18:00 at the Soweto Theatre in Soweto where the Top 20 finalists will strut their stuff on the runway while vying for the judge’s votes. This year’s judges include Grace Mantjiu from Bona Magazine, Zinhle Mthembu from Clinix and Celebrity Chef, Lucia Mthiyane.

House and kwaito sensation Zakes Bantwini, will be the headline act on the night.

- Phumla Twala (19) Second Year Travel & Tourism Student at Intec College and Receptionist. Passionate about mentoring girls and helping them to develop their confidence. Interests: Dancing, going to the movies and reading.
- Michelle Moumakoa (20) Brand Ambassador Aspires to be a role model to the young girls in her neighbourhood and to motivate them to live better lives. Interests: Arcade games, netball and drawing.
- Nokukhanya Kunene (23) Second Year Linguistic & Sociology Student at the University of Johannesburg. Loves volunteering and making a difference in people’s lives through various social upliftment initiatives. Interests: Volunteering, meditation and reading.
- Nomfanelo Mabona (22) Second Year Education Student at UNISA and Public Relations Executive. Passionate about education as well as helping children reach their dreams. Interests: Travel, food, the colour pink and gardening.
- Precious Tshiane (24) Second Year Transportation Management Student at the University of Johannesburg and Model. Loves to read, aspires to write a children’s’ book about childhood bullying. Interests: Travelling, reading books and doing yoga.
- Senate Khomohaka ( 21) Second Year International Relations Student at the University of Johannesburg. Wants to uplift the neglected parts of Soweto and positioning them as tourist attractions. Interests: Travelling, food and volunteering.
“We are looking forward to seeing all the finalists pulling all stops to become the next Miss Soweto. All the finalists have worked extremely hard to make it to the Top 20 and we are extremely proud of the fact that all the ladies are learning valuable lessons through the rehearsals and coaching sessions that have been put in place to ensure that they are equipped with the confidence to walk on stage with a huge crowd cheering them on”, says Celebrity Chef Lucia Mthiyane.
- Zelda Ndhlela (24) Human Resources Administrator. Outspoken and driven, an embodiment of the eKasi character and proud of it. Interests: Latin dance and reading.
- Sihle Tshabalala (21) Second Year Public Relations Student at UNISA. Wants to help uplift children from disadvantaged backgrounds and start a girls’ foundation in Soweto. Interests: Writing lyrics, reading motivational books, singing and modeling.
- Zandile Lebuso (20) Second Year Accounting Degree Student at University of Johannesburg. Proudly Sowetan, dreaming of having her name mentioned alongside those of other Soweto icons such as Basetsana Kumalo and Nelson Mandela.
- Simamkele Mbambo (20) Aspiring Humanitarian. Passionate about volunteering and community involvement. Interests: Music and singing.
- Snethemba Mbatha (23) Media Practices Graduate from Boston Media House and Public Relations Executive. A driven, young professional who is focused on advancing her career in the media space. Interests: Travelling, reading and food.
- Tshepiso Rapudi (20) Second Year Bachelor of Arts and Strategic Brand Communication Student at Vega. Loves meeting new people and strives to make a positive impact on her peers. Interests: Singing, reading and exercising.
- Tsholofelo Ramodesha (24) Second Year Psychology Student at UNISA. Passionate about raising awareness around mental health in her community. Interests: Reading, writing, swimming and dancing.
