ALL study, work and business permits will now be issued only by the Department of Home Affairs in Pretoria to "fast-track" services and reduce backlogs currently standing at 13000.
Director-general Mkuseli Apleni said the department did intend clearing the delays by December. But the process excluded Zimbabwean nationals, whose applications were dealt with separately.
