Deadline approaches for student fund registration

This weekend is the last chance for students to apply for funding to register for the second semester and trimester studies at selected tertiary institutions.

According to the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) website‚ the closing date for applications is next week Monday — 20 June.

“NSFAS has opened online applications for selected institutions for students who only need to register for second semester or trimester season to complete or continue their studies‚” NSFAS said.

“Students who are already funded for the 2016 academic year should not apply as NSFAS has their information.”

“Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified via SMS before the end of July 2016‚” the scheme added.

Applications will be received for these institutions:

Universities

University of South Africa (all campuses) and Durban University of Technology

TVET Colleges:

Vhembe; Buffalo City; King Hintsa; Motheo; Umfolozi; Ekurhuleni East; South Cape; Port Elizabeth; Tshwane North; Orbit; South West Ekurhuleni; West; Central Johannesburg; Cape Town; Northlink; False Bay and West Coast.Visit www.nsfas.org.za for further details.
