Irate Pirates fans berates Muhsin

Muhsin Ertugral, who is already on the wrong side of some Orlando Pirates supporters, has called for the Bucs faithful to behave after insults were hurled at him by an unhappy fan in the tunnel at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.

Ertugral has introduced a new 3-5-2 system at Bucs and has called for patience after another disappointing draw at home - this time to Platinum Stars on Tuesday night. The game finished 1-1, as Dikwena's Thobani Kunene scored at the death to cancel out Thabiso Kutumela's 77th minute strike.

"I feel disappointed. We coaches are door mats, where they throw the whole thing on you. The point is how long are you going to take it and how much you can take it?

"I think some people need to behave themselves a little bit more and see the whole thing about it.

"If I remember well last season, Pirates did not have a great season. I think we need to build and look at how we can make the team stronger. I also need to think about how much I can take it," said an irritated Ertugral, ostensibly after the enraged fan had harangued him, telling him the club were "better" last term.

Ertugral started with Abbubaker Mobara, Happy Jele and Justice Chabalala as his central defenders, as Thabo Matlaba and Thembela Sikhakhane played in more advanced roles on the flanks.

"We have the players for it (for 3-5-2). Thembela is a player who played for the first time in that role because he is a player who can go forward. But he missed the timing and he was took quick into the defensive line of the opponents."

Stars captain Vuyo Mere, meanwhile, challenged his teammates to start believing they are a big team and play like one. Dikwena have only managed one victory, scoring only three goals in their four matches. "We are looking to surpass our standard of last season. We have to set new goals and we want to finish first. We are going to be playing in Africa (CAF Confederation Cup), so we need to start playing like a big team."
