PSL parts ways senior manager Blanckensee due to ‘administrative shortcomings’

The Premier Soccer League have agreed to part ways with their general manager for football‚ Derek Blanckensee‚ due to “administrative shortcomings”‚ the league said in a statement on Thursday.

Blanckensee had served in the position for more than five years.

The PSL’s statement read: “The Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirms that it has agreed to part ways with Mr. Derek Blanckensee who has served as the League’s General Manager of Football for five-and-a-half years.

“Recent media reports have indicated that charges were laid against Mr Blanckensee by the League.

“The League wishes to provide clarity by placing it on the record that none of the charges were related to dishonesty of any kind‚ but to administrative shortcomings in his department in the processing of a registration.

“The League takes this opportunity to wish Mr. Blanckensee all the best for the future.”

The PSL also stated it would make no further comment on the matter. - TMG Digital
