They might have been assisted by a red card for Swaziland, but once South Africa clicked into gear there was no stopping them running their Cosafa Cup semifinal opponents off the field in a 5-1 victory last night.

SA will meet Botswana in the final here on Saturday.

The Zebras edged out DR Congo 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw in their semifinal, also last night.

This Bafana Bafana Olympic shadow team make their lives difficult by being painfully slow starters.

Again they were fairly woeful in the first half then recovered in the second.

Perhaps this schizophrenic personality stems from having two coaches.

Shakes Mashaba has taken charge of this Bafana team that consists of SA U-23 players in preparation for the Olympic Games in August.

U-23 boss Owen Da Gama, supposedly a joint-coach in Namibia, at times has appeared to look on somewhat bemused. Tony Tsabedze gave Swaziland a 38th-minute lead in a first half where Bafana were, as in their penalties quarterfinal win against Lesotho, again sluggish.

Thabiso Kutumela equalised with a free-kick awarded in the 52nd.

Bafana's other goals came via Lebogang Phiri (56th), Menzi Masuku (59th, 83rd), and Judas Moseamedi (75th).
