Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has described tonight's Absa Premiership clash against Polokwane City (Peter Mokaba Stadium, 7.30pm) as a must-win game.

The two sides played to a goalless draw when they met in October in Sundowns' back yard.

Mosimane said his charges cannot afford to slip up considering Bidvest Wits are just four points behind them with seven matches remaining.

"Polokwane is a big match for us, we can't lose that match," he said.

Mosimane, though, admitted that his boys haven't been convincing of late and they will have to up their game to win tonight.

"The games are getting [fewer] in the Premiership and we are not as convincing as I want. Why? We have yellow cards, red cards and injuries. We played all the games in the Telkom Knockout and went all the way, the [CAF] Champions League, the Nedbank [Cup] and you will wobble. You can see we are wobbling a little bit.

"[But] the champions are people who don't complain. If you want to be champions, you must earn it. It is tough; it's not gonna be easy."

Polokwane City striker Puleng Tlolane, meanwhile, takes comfort in the fact that the Limpopo team are unbeaten against the so-called big three this season - Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

"We haven't lost to any of them this season. We drew two games against Chiefs, one against Pirates and we also didn't lose to Sundowns. That's an advantage for us.

"I have to admit that those [Sundowns] guys are hot, but we will try everything to win," said Tlolane, whose side is struggling in 13th place.

"The three points are just as important to us as they are to them. This will be a tough match," he predicted.

Polokwane City and Sundowns have met in five league matches since the 2013-14 season. The Brazilians have claimed three wins compared to one for Rise and Shine.
